However, the campaign in Soulstorm is quite long as you fight across one or two planets and its moons and the stronghold missions are a really fun challenge.ĭark Crusade however, is generally better in all respects when compared to Soulstorm (in my opinion at least) campaign dialogue isn't bad, singleplayer is still lengthy and the stronghold maps are really well done, and the best part is once you conquer a province you base(s) remain once the match is done unless you lose them in a defense mission (this reduces the repetitiveness you'll encounter in soulstorm, but you will still have to likely play maps multiple times). This last detail can make the game very repetitive when it comes to defense missions as you have to rebuild pretty much everything. Additionally, the singleplayer dialogue is pretty laughable and your bases aren't maintained after you conquer an area. the dark eldar are meant to attack in lightning quick strikes and be gone or have devastated the enemy before the enemy can retaliate, but they can endure almost as much punishment as some of the other "tank" race's units while dealing out impressive damage). However, the two new races can be somewhat unbalanced (i.e. Soulstorm has two additional races (Sisters of Battle and the Dark Eldar) and a bunch of extra maps. They're both good, but Dark Crusade is much better than Soulstorm. You should look online for gameplay to get a better idea of both, but here's a few tidbits:
